Ashby is a rising senior and Government major at The College of William and Mary. She is excited to learn more about civic engagement and NCoC's initiatives towards promoting civic education.

Last summer, Ashby studied abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia where she spent her time studying and filming a documentary based on a historic theater in St. Petersburg. She served as the Ambassador to Russia for the International Film Festival for the Charles Center during her time abroad.

On campus she is actively involved in co-leading a student international service team (Student's for Belize Education), she is a member of the Tribes sailing team, and serves as an Orientation Aide for Freshmen at the College. She has also earned recognition as a W&M DC Summer Institute Community Engagement Fellow. In March, Ashby completed her first marathon.

Post graduation she hopes to commit to service through the Peace Corps and then attend graduate school in pursuit of her Masters degree in International Development. Ashby is from Gainesville, Virginia and some of her favorite things include: running, reading, traveling, and napping with her dog.
