On Saturday morning (March 10 at 7:30), NCoC will host a breakfast session called “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs: Exploring the link between civic engagement and employment.” Civic behaviors such as political involvement, volunteering, and giving help generate the flow of information, trust, and connection in communities. Therefore, active participation in civic life is required for a community to be socially and economically healthy. This session will present NCoC research demonstrating this theory, and engage audience in a discussion on the findings, their motivators, and their implications for communities.
