The U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress will hold the first panel of its 2012 National Archives series: Congressional Campaigns: Past, Present, & Future at 7pm in the McGowan Theater at the National Archives.

This event will feature Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN, 93-03), Congressman Chet Edwards (D-TX, 91-11), Chairman Bob Livingston (R-LA, 77-01), Congressman Jim Slattery (D-KS, 83-95), Mr. John Ashford of the Hawthorn Group, and Moderator Lenny Steinhorn, and American University professor and political analyst for FOX5 DC. The panelists will share their personal campaign experiences; explain how primaries, fundraising, and debates have changed over the years; and provide a historical context to the November 2012 elections.
